This hybrid position includes North American travel.As Senior Lead, Interconnections & Transmission Engineer, you will provide technical and commercial expertise across project lifecycles. You will evaluate transmission options, coordinate studies, advise teams, and work with utilities, providers, and system operators. The work spans regulatory, ISO/RTO, transmission, and compliance requirements.Key Responsibilities:
Evaluate interconnection options against cost, schedule, reliability, and risk objectivesLead applications, studies, reviews, approvals, and implementation workstreamsReview power flow, stability, short-circuit, and electromagnetic studiesAdvise on agreements, estimates, schedules, negotiations,



and technical risksCoordinate stakeholders across utilities, operators, consultants, and internal teamsRequirements:
Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related fieldMinimum six years in transmission planning or generation interconnectionsExperience leading complex studies through approval and implementationKnowledge of NERC, FERC, RTO, reliability, and market requirementsAbility to communicate recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholdersApply transmission planning, interconnection studies, and technical leadership to Capital Power’s generation projects across North America.
