Be our next Geotechnical Field Technician !

As a Geotechnical Field Technician at EXP, you’ll gain practical exposure to geotechnical and environmental fieldwork while supporting a wide range of construction and infrastructure projects. This is a great role for students studying civil engineering, environmental engineering, geoscience, or related fields who want real-world field experience. **Candidates may be considered for either a full-time position or a casual contract role, depending on qualifications and business needs.

Conduct soil compaction testing using a soil density gauge
Perform concrete field tests (slump, air content) and cast concrete test cylinders




Observe asphalt placement and conduct sampling and compaction testing

Graduated from Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Earth Sciences or related program diploma
Minimum 2 years of experience in inspection and testing such as concrete and compacting testing, footing, subgrade, and/or rebar inspections, and engineered fill
CCIL Certified in Field concrete testing
Ability to problem-solve and think proactively on site
Comfortable reading and interpreting drawings/specifications (training provided)
Robust communication skills and ability to interact professionally with contractors and team members
Solid report writing and attention to detail
Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle for travel to job sites
Physically able to lift/carry equipment such as soil density gauges and concrete cylinders
