Build secure backend services for Seequent's Evo platform as a Senior Software Developer in hybrid Calgary. Use Python, FastAPI, Kubernetes, and GCP daily.

Reporting to the Team Lead, Software Development, you will design, build, test, document, refactor, and operate scalable microservices. Your work supports data organization, permission management, auditability, and external integrations. You will also guide technical decisions and mentor team members.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and architect applications, components, and microservices

Operate scalable backend services using Python and FastAPI

Develop capabilities for permissions, auditability, and integrations

Coordinate releases across teams and communicate with stakeholders

Lead design reviews, code reviews, and technical mentorship

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience

Seven or more years in relevant software development roles

Experience building scalable RESTful APIs

Solid cloud and Kubernetes deployment experience

Experience with microservices, observability, CI/CD, and automated testing
