Duties

- Assist in the preparation of meals according to established recipes and standards.
- Ensure all food handling procedures comply with health and safety regulations.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including equipment and utensils.
- Support cooks and chefs in various kitchen tasks as needed.
- Monitor food quality and freshness, discarding any items that do not meet standards.
- Help with inventory management by tracking supplies and notifying management of shortages.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient kitchen operations.

Skills

- Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred.




- Knowledge of meal preparation techniques and food safety practices.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented atmosphere.
- Strong communication skills to interact with team members and management.
- Attention to detail to ensure high-quality food handling and preparation.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing tasks and priorities in a busy kitchen setting.
- Basic cooking skills are a plus, but not required; willingness to learn is essential.
