What You’ll Do

As a Cook, you will help prepare and serve quality meals for guests in our restaurant and bar.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Preparing menu items according to recipes, specifications and food quality standards
- Reviewing daily production needs and ensuring food is ready for service on time
- Setting up and closing your station properly for each shift
- Maintaining food quality, portion consistency and presentation
- Following proper food handling, storage, rotation, labelling and food safety practices
- Keeping your station, equipment, refrigerators, freezers and work areas clean and organized
- Practising a clean-as-you-go approach throughout your shift
- Helping minimize food waste and making thoughtful use of ingredients
- Supporting daily and monthly specials and helping the kitchen make the most of available products
- Speaking up when equipment, food quality or safety concerns need attention
- Helping teammates when things get busy and contributing to a positive kitchen environment




- Assisting with training and supporting newer team members when needed
- Responding professionally to guest concerns and helping find a solution
- Following all health, safety, hygiene and hotel standards
- Pitching in with other kitchen duties when needed

What We’re Looking For

You do not need to know everything on day one, but you should bring a valuable attitude, reliability and a willingness to learn.

Ideally, you have:

- Previous cooking experience, preferably in a busy restaurant, hotel or similar environment
- Strong attention to food quality, cleanliness and detail
- Good organization and time-management skills
- The ability to stay calm and productive during busy periods
- A positive, team-first attitude
- Good communication skills
- The ability to work well with people from different backgrounds and experiences
- A willingness to help where needed rather than saying, “that’s not my job”
- Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends
- The ability to stand and move for extended periods and perform the physical requirements of a kitchen role
- Legal authorization to work in Canada
