Build industrial electrical expertise at Linamar in Guelph, Ontario, using schematics, test equipment, and hands-on troubleshooting under Journeyperson direction.

As an Electrical Apprentice, you will plan, assemble, connect, install, repair, inspect, test, verify, maintain, and troubleshoot systems. Work includes machinery, production lines, facility equipment, and electronic components. You will interpret electrical codes, manuals, blueprints, and schematic diagrams while developing skills alongside Journeyperson and maintenance personnel.

Key Responsibilities:

- Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems, machinery, and production lines
- Replace relays, switches, motors, and position sensing devices
- Install wiring, conduit, power supplies, and machine connections




- Test equipment using electrical and electronic test equipment
- Participate in preventative maintenance and inspect equipment

Requirements:

- Registered third year electrical apprentice preferred
- Working knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, and electronics
- Five years’ manufacturing environment experience required
- Ability to work independently and within a team-based workplace
- Ability to work under direct supervision and multitask
