Reporting to the Culinary Manager, this Cook prepares and delivers foods according to menus, production sheets, standardized recipes, and schedules. The position supports therapeutic diets, temperature audits, regulatory compliance, and special meal planning. Experience with large-quantity preparation in healthcare or retirement settings is preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

- Prepare and serve meals attractively according to planned menus
- Follow food-handling techniques, recipes, production charts, and schedules
- Complete temperature audits for refrigerators, freezers, and storerooms




- Prepare therapeutic and specialty diets as directed
- Participate in special meal planning and quality improvement

Requirements:

- Food Handler's Certificate required
- Large-quantity food preparation experience preferred
- Knowledge of therapeutic diets and provincial food regulations
- Ability to lift heavy, hot items and stand through shifts
- Current Vulnerable Sector Check or willingness to obtain one
