Full time, contract (12 months)Position summaryReporting to the licensing supervisor, the licensing assistant is primarily responsible for processing and supporting the onboarding of currently practising clinical perfusionists, medical laboratory technologists, radiation therapists, and respiratory therapists in British Columbia ahead of their regulation by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia on November 29, 2027.Duties and responsibilitiesDuties include but are not limited to the following:process applications from currently practising clinical perfusionists, medical laboratory technologists, radiation therapists, and respiratory therapists:verify application submissions and identification documentsact as primary contact person for applicantsliaise with internal team members and provide additional support (if needed) with compiling lists for verification purposesexecute process improvements where possible and ensure documentation is maintained, including the procedure manualrefer files to the licensing coordinator when requiredrespond to all associated correspondence,



emails and phone calls from applicants and third partiesensure licence confirmation emails are sent and filedother duties as assigned.Skills and qualificationsRequired skills and qualifications include:post-secondary education with training in administrative practices or an equivalent combination of education and experienceexcellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracydemonstrated high level of initiative, time management and organizational abilityexcellent communication skills, both written and verbalstrong editing and proofreading skillsability to organize and set work prioritiesability to work both independently and as a team memberworking knowledge of Microsoft Office applicationsability to maintain a calm demeanor during busy or stressful timesability to exercise good judgement in recognizing the scope of authority and protecting confidential information is a mustThe compensation range for this position is $43,978 to $54,972 per year.
