Support child nutrition at Kepler Academy’s Cavanagh location using commercial cooking and food safety skills in a childcare kitchen.

As an experienced Child Care Kitchen Helper, you will support the Child Care Chef with daily kitchen operations. Your work includes ingredient preparation, cooking, cleaning, inventory, and allergy-aware meal service. The kitchen prepares food for up to 150 children daily.

Key Responsibilities:

- Clean and sanitize dishes, equipment, surfaces, and kitchen areas
- Maintain food, supply, and equipment inventory records
- Label and date packages while practicing FIFO procedures
- Prepare and cook food meeting allergy and dietary requirements
- Maintain cleaning logs and follow handwashing procedures

Requirements:

- Minimum one year commercial cooking experience in high-volume kitchens
- Food Safety Certificate required
- Ability to prepare food for up to 150 children
- Knowledge of food handling, allergies, and substitutions
- Vulnerable Sector Police Information Check issued within six months
