They travel to our customer sites in order to fulfill scheduled maintenance jobs, emergency breakdowns or routine inspections as per our customers service package.The Service Technician builds and maintains strong relationships with our customers in their territory.This position will be located in Mississauga and the GTA area, reporting to our Service Operations Manager.Main Responsibilities IncludeCarrying out maintenance and service on our customer's Atlas Copco air compressors, air dryers and blowers as well as non-Atlas Copco brand equipmentAdvising customers about the general operations of their machines and maintenance requirements while promoting Atlas Copco service productsCommissioning new equipment and effectively diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults on customer equipmentSupporting our local customer base in Southwestern Ontario, developing new customers,



and maximizing time utilizationTaking responsibility over opportunities to update your own product knowledge by reading instruction books, technical bulletins, company resources, and by actively participating in the training programs offered by the companyProudly representing the face of Atlas Copco when communicating with the customers onsite or by phone by following company standards and exceeding the expectations of our valued customersManaging daily administrative duties such as ensuring that time sheets, work orders, emails and other documentation are signed by customer when applicable and submitted on time, as well as preparing service reportsAdvising the Service Operations Manager and/or the service sales team of any new business opportunity you may spot in the fieldSupporting in other related tasks and projectsComplying with the organization's environmental, health & safety, recycling, sustainability efforts and quality assurance policies and standardsTo succeed, you will needCompleted certification in one of the following trades: Industrial Mechanic (Millwright), Industrial Electrician, Heavy Duty Mechanic, Instrumentation and Controls, or have a similar level of knowledge through experienceSolid experience troubleshooting and performing maintenance on industrial air compressors, blowers, dryers and/or VSD/VFD equipmentStrong electrical knowledge and technical expertiseAbility to communicate well in English verbally and writtenValid driver's license and clean drivers abstractGood customer service skillsStrong physical endurance and ability to work using their handsGood computer skills (Microsoft Office, Outlook)Special ConditionsFrequent travel for both short and extended periodsOccasional on-call schedule which can include evening, weekends and holidaysRequires working hands on with tools,
