Second Cook positions require cooking experience, food safety certification, and accurate preparation for high-volume food service operations.

ESS Canada seeks Second Cooks to prepare food under corporate standards, guidelines, regulations, policies, and procedures. Successful candidates understand cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and industry practices. The schedule follows five days on and two days off, with early weekday shifts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare, pre-cook, and cook directed food products
• Prepare mise en place for high-volume production
• Clean kitchen equipment after each use
• Label, date, store, and rotate products
• Report faulty equipment, accidents, and maintenance needs

Requirements:

• Two or more years of proven cooking experience
• Banquet, catering, or restaurant setting experience
• Required Food Safety Certification
• Understanding of cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
