People like you!Roles and Responsibilities:Apply monthly rental payments to tenants accountsPrepare monthly bank reconciliationsCreate and upload month-end accrual journal entries to MRIGenerate and send month end financial reportsPrepare year-end CAM/tax recoveries adjustment billings in accordance with the tenant leasesReconcile property tax payments to tax payment schedulesMaintain the security deposit account and tenant ledgerCreate/maintain various trackers (recurring billings tracker, reports status tracker, etc)Review lease setup in MRISet up ACH/EFT/Wire payment requestsSupport the preparation of property analysis such as NOI analysis, variance analysis and intercompany account reconciliationsSupport the preparation of financial statements working files and assist with year-end audit queriesProvide accounting support to other term members on the accounting team and property/asset management teamSupport the property management team with annual budget and reforecastsAssistance with ad-hoc projects as requestedQualifications and Experience:Level 3- 4 Student Post-secondary education in accounting candidateworking towards a CPA designation is an assetStrong analytical and accounting skills with excellent attention to detailStrong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate across different departmentsAbility to work individually and as part of a team within tight deadlines and to collaborate with various functional teamsExperience with lease interpretation is a key assetStrong project/portfolio management experienceStrong understanding of CAM and Tax Recovery analysisKnowledge in MRI is an assetProficient in Microsoft suite of productsspecifically with ExcelBenefits of Employment:IKO recognizes that its success is due to the strength of its employees.
