The Teaching Assistant supports the Database Systems course under the CUPE Local 4207 collective agreement. Duties include student consultation, seminar preparation, marking, examination proctoring, lectures, office hours, and other administration. Effective communication, punctuality,

Key Responsibilities:

• Attend scheduled contact time with Database Systems students
• Prepare seminar materials for course activities
• Consult with students and explain subject material
• Mark or grade student work and examinations
• Proctor examinations, attend lectures, and hold office hours

Requirements:

• Achieve a minimum 80% in the course
• Be a third- or fourth-year Computer Science student
• Have completed Computer Science or an equivalent program
• Demonstrate effective communication and explanation skills
• Attend classes punctually and meet appropriate deadlines
