Title: OTR Tire TechnicianThompson Construction Group has an immediate opening for an OTR Tire Technician to support our Fort McMurray operations.ResponsibilitiesService, replacement, and repair OTR tires of all sizes on mining and construction equipmentSafely operate hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, including jacks, pumps, rad guns, and high-torque toolsDemonstrate knowledge of tire construction and acceptable wear/repair limitsReplace, repair, and balance light vehicle tires as requiredFollow proper procedures for eliminating stored energy before removing tires from rims, particularly split-rim configurations (3-piece and 5-piece)Use correct tooling and equipment to support both heavy and light vehicles during tire removalAdhere to all safe work practices in alignment with industry standards and company policiesMaintain a clean and organized work workplace to minimize risksQualificationsMinimum 3 years of experience as an OTR Tire TechnicianMust be at least 18 years of ageValid Class 3 driver's license preferredAbility to work effectively in a team environmentStrong written and verbal communication skillsWillingness to work in the Fort McMurray area and live in remote camps on a rotational scheduleCSO Certification requiredH2S Alive and First Aid certifications are considered assetsTIA Training is recommended but not required (training can be provided)Good physical condition and overall health to safely perform assigned dutiesMust be able to pass a pre-access drug and alcohol testAdditional InformationThe above statements reflect the general nature and level of work expected for this role.
