Job Overview: The Artist in Residence will lead or contribute to one or more projects across our season which may include designing, producing, directing, staging a new work, delivering workshops or mentorships for the broader community. Artists will be invited to board meetings as a non-voting member, participate in company discussion and season planning, and engage with artists, partners, and volunteers.

This role may involve executing a show that you have proposed, for which the organization will manage logistics. This may include managing a project budget and timeline while leading creatively in collaboration with the production team.

The Artist in Residence works closely with the Executive Director to align the theatre’s artistic goals with its operational and financial needs, while engaging the community and promoting local participation in the arts.

- Represent the theatre in the community, potentially connecting with local schools, arts organizations, and other community groups.
- Help the ED with delivering special events, talkbacks, or outreach programs to deepen the community’s involvement with the theatre.

Include all as many details and practical solutions as possible. (Co-collaborators, time of year, etc)
