Position

Yard Attendant

Part-time

24 – 36 hours per week. Eligible for benefits after 3 months. If you are relocating from another province, please ensure you have AB Health coverage to be covered by our plan provider.

Availability

Weekdays and weekends- mornings, afternoons, and evenings.

Responsibilities

- Provide excellent customer service
- Ensure equipment is operated in a safe and responsible matter
- Keep yard and warehouse free of obstructions, debris, and snow and stack pallets as required
- Operate hand and/or controlled forklifts
- Prepare orders to ensure prompt delivery
- Stock, face and rotate inventory following the First In, First Out (FIFO) process
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the manager

Qualifications

- Exceptional attention to detail and quality
- Highly self-motivated
- Ability to work in a rapid-paced environment
- Outstanding customer service and communication skills
- Team player with the ability to work independently
- Valid Class 3 Licence with Air brake endorsement is an asset
- Must provide an acceptable driver's abstract upon hire
- Experience running a forklift is preferred
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs;some heavy lifting is required
- Applicants must be over 14 years old. (Employment Standards mandates a permitto employ a person aged 14 or under, thus disclosure is required.)
