DescriptionAre you customer-service oriented and energized by analytical, investigative work? Millennium Insurance is looking for a Claims Adjuster, Accident Benefits to join our dynamic team and support the transition to care-first.Reporting to the Claims Manager, you'll investigate and manage Section B claims while delivering exceptional service to our customers. This is a 2-year fixed-term opportunity focused on adjusting claims arising from accidents before January 1, 2027, with the chance to gain valuable experience and explore internal opportunities as the project concludes.What you will be doingConduct thorough investigations of accident benefit claims, including obtaining statements, conducting interviews and gathering the documentation needed for evaluation.Review policy coverage and determine the extent of liability.Assess, evaluate, and process medical and rehabilitation expense claims in accordance with the Diagnostic and Treatment Protocols Regulation (DTPR), progressing to claims outside the DTPR and Total Disability payments.Review medical documentation and treatment plans to determine what is reasonable, necessary, and payable.Coordinate with healthcare providers, independent medical examiners, legal representatives, and internal specialists as needed.Provide exceptional customer service by promptly responding to inquiries, providing status updates, and addressing concerns from claimants, policyholders, and other stakeholders.Maintain accurate and detailed claim files, documentation, and reports in accordance with company guidelines, regulatory timelines, and industry standards.Stay current on legal developments, industry trends,



and best practices in Section B claims management as the transition to care-first unfolds.What you bring to the teamMinimum of two (2) years of accident benefit claims handling experiencePost-secondary education and/or CIP designation are considered an assetIn-depth knowledge of auto insurance policies, Section B benefits, regulations and claims proceduresExcellent communication and negotiation skills to effectively interact with clientsProficient computer skills, including experience with claims management software and MS Office SuiteStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to evaluate complex information and make informed decisionsHigh level of attention to detail, organization skills and ability to prioritize tasksHigh degree of emotional intelligence and empathyHow you will succeedSuccess will mean independently assessing, evaluating, and processing medical expense claims within the Diagnostic and Treatment Protocols Regulation (DTPR), then progressing to medical claims outside the DTPR and Total Disability payments.
