Lead academic operations at Camosun College as a Chair, using educational leadership and curriculum planning to support student success.

This faculty-only appointment provides leadership within Learning Services’ Centre for Excellence in Teaching and Learning. Reporting to the Dean or Director, the Chair guides teaching, scholarship, service, advising, curriculum, planning, assessment, and student affairs. The role coordinates faculty expertise and supports effective departmental operations.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead departmental standards supporting student learning and success
- Coordinate curriculum development, review, scheduling, and approvals
- Develop departmental plans, goals, budgets, and reports
- Delegate duties and monitor departmental workloads




- Represent the department with college and external organizations

Requirements:

- Current Camosun College faculty member
- Post-secondary qualifications consistent with teaching discipline
- Qualification in at least one departmental expertise area
- Three years’ post-secondary teaching or educational development experience
- Demonstrated educational leadership and team-building ability
