POSITION SUMMARYThe AR Accountant at Masco Canada is responsible for managing key AR processes, including cash application, collections, and reconciliations. This role ensures timely cash application, supports accurate financial reporting, and helps resolve escalated customer issues. The position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively across teams to maintain healthy cash flow and customer relationships.PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIESInvestigate and resolve customer billing disputes in a timely and professional mannerEnsure accurate and timely application of customer payments, including resolution of unapplied cash items, investigation, analysis, and processing of customer deductions and related discrepanciesEnsure accurate and timely entering of customer creditsSend customer credits out each morningMonitor the AR mailbox and respond to customer requests on a timely basisPerform account reconciliations and resolve escalated discrepanciesSupport monthly and quarterly financial reporting related to ARWork closely with internal teams (e.G., sales, finance) to address customer issuesRecommend process improvements to enhance AR efficiency and accuracyAny other duties as assignedHEALTH & SAFETYMaintain a safe workplaceWear Personal Protective equipment as required on the shop floorComply with the company policies and OHSA (Occupational Health & Safety Act)Follow safe work and lockout / tagout procedures as requiredReport unsafe conditions as soon as possibleQUALIFICATIONS & EDUCATIONDiploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related fieldAdditional certification in finance or accounting (e.G., CPA, CMA)
