Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting a wide range of heavy machinery and industrial equipment. This role requires mechanical expertise, familiarity with various types of heavy equipment, and the ability to work efficiently in a energetic environment. The Heavy Equipment Technician will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and reliable operation of machinery such as highway tractors, trailers, mobile pumps, service rigs and rental machinery.

Duties
Perform diagnostics, repairs, and preventive maintenance on heavy equipment
Utilize schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues
Conduct basic welding, assembly, and disassembly of components using hand tools and power tools
Operate and repair industrial equipment with a focus on safety and efficiency
Maintain detailed service records and documentation of repairs performed
Assist with the installation of new equipment and upgrades to existing machinery
Perform heavy lifting tasks safely using appropriate techniques and equipment




Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding repairs and maintenance needs

Requirements
Proven experience in dealership or industrial equipment repair, especially with Cummins, Detroit Diesel, Allison or similar brands
Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience working on highway trucks, or other heavy machinery
Skilled in welding, electrical systems, schematics reading, and automotive repair techniques
Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently
Experience with power tools, hand tools, assembly processes, and maintenance procedures
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work in physically demanding environments
Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail
Prior mechanic experience preferred; certification or training in heavy equipment or industrial maintenance is a plus
Customer service skills for interacting with clients regarding repairs or service needs

Pay: $36.00-$48.00 per hour
