Cleaning Operative – Hastings/Bexhill

Location: Hastings, covering Hastings and Bexhill
Pay Rate: 15 per hour
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am–4:00pm (35 hours per week)
Contract: Temporary, 6 weeks

Job Description

We are currently recruiting for a reliable and hardworking Temporary Cleaning Operative to join a busy and supportive team covering sites across Hastings and Bexhill. This is a mobile role, starting and finishing at the Hastings base, with travel to various locations throughout the working day. Applicants must live locally and hold a valid driving licence.

Key Responsibilities
Carry out general cleaning duties to maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
Clean communal areas, kitchens, toilets, bathrooms, showers and other facilities.
Use cleaning equipment and products safely and effectively.
Follow health and safety procedures, including secure manual handling practices.
Work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Maintain clean,



protected and welcoming environments across multiple sites.
Undertake challenging cleaning tasks when required, including the removal of human or animal faeces, dog waste and areas affected by urine, following approved procedures and safety guidance.

Requirements
Previous cleaning experience is desirable.
Basic knowledge of health and safety procedures.
A full, valid driving licence is essential.
Must live in or around the Hastings/Bexhill area.
A reliable, versatile and positive approach to work.
Physically able to undertake cleaning duties and manual handling where required.
Willingness to carry out all aspects of the role, including challenging cleaning tasks.

Working Pattern
Monday to Friday, 8:00am–4:00pm.
35 hours per week.
Six-week temporary assignment.
Mobile working across various sites, starting and finishing in Hastings.
