This job is part of the Engineering and Technical Services job function. They are responsible for providing support, preventive maintenance,



and repairs on equipment and systems.What You'll Do:Respond to tenant requests and emergenciesPerform daily rounds and log readingsReview and complete daily entries into engineer's logComplete preventive/demand maintenance tasks; input histories if requiredStart-up/shutdown major building equipmentEnsuring maximum energy efficiency, inspect/operate/maintain and repair mechanical/electrical systems and equipment (including boilers, chillers, HVAC equipment, pumps, generators, life safety system, etc.)Complete filter changesPerform minor repairs: replace washers/faucets; clear sinks, toilets and drains; transparent grease traps/sumps; re-pack valves; replace pumps/motors; reset breakers, etc.Complete belt inspection/replacementMaintain/align fan/air handling unitsComplete general mechanical/maintenance dutiesTrouble/repair building automation systemMonitor work of contractors/external service providers to ensure adherence to company/industry standardsParticipate in review of operating policies/procedures as requiredComplete maintenance of metal/plastic pipe systemsConduct chemical treatment testsWork in compliance with Occupational Health and Safety Act and other applicable codesEscalate unusual events/occurrences to supervisor
