Role OverviewThe Production Supervisor (lumber services) is responsible for all lumber activities including receiving, inspection, packaging, shipping and inventory control. The incumbent's role is also to ensure optimum employee performance and making sure products are delivered on time and according to customer's standards.ResponsibilitiesOrganizes labor for required lumber yard activitiesCoordinates his employee's vacation and payrollCommunicates with Production manager and sales for production requirementsCommunicates with Production manager for lumber shipping and receiving operationsManages the lumber shipping supplies inventory (barcodes, wrap, etc.)Manages lumber inventory (white, treated,



cull); Applies the employee handbook and the positive discipline processEnsure the TRD requirements are respected in the lumber storage yardsEnsures that products are acceptable for shipment, including proper labels, wrapped product, appearance and qualityEnsures the yard is organized and the proper housekeeping is madeEnsures all work is performed safely to applicable codes, standards and to Stella-Jones health and safety manualCommunicate with shipping and receiving office operations to coordinate shipmentsIs available for on-call emergenciesQualificationsMinimum 5 years of related Supervisory experience. Clean driver's license abstractWHMISGrade 12 education minimumValid driver's license
