Support Theatre Alberta’s theatre library in Edmonton with strong computer skills, customer service, and detail-oriented work during a full time summer contract.

The Summer Library Assistant supports daily operations and special projects for Theatre Alberta’s collection of more than 21,000 scripts and reference books. You will assist Librarians, serve members, and work independently and collaboratively. Interest in theatre, Indigenous theatre practice, or special libraries supports this position.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assist Librarians with daily operations and special library projects
- Circulate materials to members in person and by postal system
- Help members select materials for reading and borrowing
- Manage overdue materials, associated fines, and inventory maintenance




- Research Canadian Indigenous plays for collection purchases and promotions

Requirements:

- Excellent computer and customer service skills
- Interest in special libraries and theatre or drama
- Interest in or knowledge of Indigenous theatre practice
- Availability Monday evenings until 8:00 p.m.
- Eligibility for student employment programs and stated student requirements
