Build community engagement skills with StoryBook Theatre in Calgary through grant applications, sponsorship outreach, and donor communications. This summer internship offers an eight-week contract.

The Community Engagement Associate supports StoryBook Theatre’s Board of Directors with fund development for the upcoming season. You will complete online grant applications, report on existing grants, contact prospective sponsors, and research prospects. Ongoing mentorship supports learning.

Key Responsibilities:

- Complete online grant applications for StoryBook Theatre
- Help report on existing grants
- Contact prospective season sponsors by email or telephone
- Attend donor and volunteer meetings when needed
- Research prospects and develop a sponsorship list

Requirements:

- Under 30 years of age
- Solid communication skills and comfort connecting with people
- Willingness to learn fund development
- Passion for the arts, particularly theatre
- Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion
