Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the Maintenance Assistant handles repairs and maintenance operations across a retirement residence. The work supports independent living, assisted living, and memory care settings. Responsibilities include painting, minor carpentry, grounds maintenance, inspections, reporting, and protected work practices.

Key Responsibilities:
Execute routine repairs on electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and building equipment
Paint, perform minor carpentry, and maintain exterior grounds
Inspect premises for maintenance and safety concerns




File required reports with the supervisor
Complete housekeeping, maintenance, and assigned duties as required

Requirements:
Follow oral and written instructions in English
Work independently and self-regulate effectively
Perform physical duties, including moving heavy objects
Complete minor facility and equipment repairs
Provide or obtain a current Vulnerable Sector Check
