The Medical Laboratory Assistant assists with pre- and post-analytical tasks and routine laboratory procedures. This position includes specimen handling, order entry, reception, inventory maintenance, and cleaning. Attention to detail, communication, and patient focus are identified competencies.

Key Responsibilities:
Collect, receive, and prepare laboratory specimens
Register patients and enter laboratory orders
Provide information to patients during registration
Perform routine decontamination, sterilization, and cleaning
Maintain inventories and complete general office duties

Requirements:
Graduate of a Medical Laboratory Assistant program or equivalent
Successfully challenge the Canadian Society exam
Ability to attend work regularly
Ability to perform position duties
Positive work record
