Emergency mental health nursing requires crisis assessment and psychiatric care at Homewood Health's Trillium Acute Care Unit, with part-time on-site work. Support patients through short-stay care and emergency situations within a team-oriented interdisciplinary team.

As a Registered Nurse, you will provide care in Trillium's Emergency Mental Health & Addiction Services. The work uses a crisis model with a bio-psychosocial approach in a safe environment. You will administer treatments, manage aggression, prevent suicide, and maintain timely documentation.

Key Responsibilities:
Provide crisis-model care using a bio-psychosocial approach
Manage psychiatric crises and emergencies in acute care
Administer psychiatric and non-psychiatric medications and treatments




Assess suicide risk and manage aggressive behaviour safely
Participate in team meetings and patient-family conferences

Requirements:
Current Ontario RN registration in positive standing
CPR and Basic Rescuer certification
Robust assessment and documentation skills
Emergency mental health and crisis intervention experience
Knowledge of the Mental Health Act and PHIPPA
