Join Island Health as an Anesthesia Assistant, providing crucial clinical support in anesthesia phases. This casual position offers an hourly rate between $44.85 and $56.02.

As an Anesthesia Assistant, you will be integrated into a surgical team, reporting directly to the Manager and working under an anesthesiologist's supervision. Utilizing your training from a recognized Respiratory Therapy school and completing an accredited Anesthetic Assistant Program, you will apply current anesthesia practices according to the Canadian Anesthesiologists Society (CAS) guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:
Provide technical support during anesthesia induction and recovery
Operate medical equipment relevant to anesthesia procedures




Assess patient responses to anesthesia care
Collaborate with surgical teams for patient safety
Maintain knowledge of CAS clinical practice standards

Requirements:
Graduation from a recognized Respiratory Therapy school
