Prepare nourishing meals at Chartwell as a Prep Cook, using food safety and kitchen organization skills to support residents’ dining experiences.

This Prep Cook position supports Chartwell’s kitchen team with meal preparation, cleanliness, and secure food handling. You will prepare ingredients, cook meals meeting residents’ dietary needs, and maintain organized work areas. The work also includes supply storage, temperature checks, and special event preparation.

Key Responsibilities:

- Prepare and cook meals meeting residents’ dietary needs
- Wash, chop, and prepare meats, vegetables, and salads
- Clean dishes, work surfaces, and kitchen areas
- Support special event food preparation for Chartwell hospitality
- Receive supplies and complete daily temperature checks

Requirements:

- One to two years’ volume food preparation experience
- High school graduation or equivalent education
- Food Safe Level 1 certificate; Level 2 preferred
- Strong organization and ability to work under time constraints
- Ability to safely operate kitchen equipment
