Support children after school as a part time Assistant Teacher at Saint Gabriel the Archangel YMCA in Barrie, using supervision and play-based learning.

The YMCA of Simcoe/Muskoka seeks an Assistant Teacher for its after-school program. You will provide personal care, engage children, and maintain safety in groups of up to 15 independently. The work includes planning YMCA Curriculum activities and communicating with families, staff, and volunteers.

Key Responsibilities:
Provide personal care, first aid, medication, and dietary monitoring
Supervise and safely engage up to 15 children independently
Plan and implement play-based YMCA Curriculum learning
Communicate professionally with families, staff, and volunteers
Support inclusion for children with additional needs

Requirements:
Minimum 18 years of age
Current First Aid and CPR Level C certification
Satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Check
Availability Monday to Friday, 2:45–6:00 p.m.
Ability to lift 20 kg and work outdoors year-round
