Optima Living seeks a Cook Level I reporting to the Food Services Manager or Support Services Manager. You will prepare menu and therapeutic diet items, organize ingredients, monitor food safety, and respect residents' dietary needs, preferences, dignity, and self-determination. The work supports person-centered care across Optima Living's senior living and continuing care communities.

Key Responsibilities:
Prepare meals through roasting, frying, grilling, steaming, and baking
Cook and season menu and therapeutic diet items




Plan cooking schedules for quality and nutritional value
Control portions and maintain recipe yields
Monitor temperatures, sanitation plans, inventory, and food rotation

Requirements:
Minimum one year of food preparation experience
Active Food Secure certification required
Strong personal hygiene practices
Ability to organize, prioritize, and problem solve
Flexibility to work a variety of shifts
