Lead employee relations and workplace culture for YMCA of southeastern Alberta in Medicine Hat, with regular travel between locations. Apply HR expertise across multiple facilities.

Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, the General Manager of People and Culture serves as the primary employee relations resource. The role leads investigations, conflict resolution, performance management, progressive coaching, and leadership coaching. It also supports engagement, onboarding, payroll, employment contracts, and HR administration.

Key Responsibilities:
Lead fair, consistent workplace investigations across the Association
Coach managers through performance, conduct, and workplace concerns
Facilitate the annual WorkWell Employee Engagement Survey
Support onboarding, payroll, contracts, ROEs, and HR administration
Promote inclusive,



respectful, and psychologically protected workplaces

Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
CPHR designation or active progress toward designation
Knowledge of Alberta employment, human rights, and safety legislation
Valid driver’s licence, business-use insurance, and reliable transportation
Recent Police Information Check with Vulnerable Sector Search when applicable
