Personal Lines underwriting meets critical thinking and sound judgment in this full-time hybrid position at Intact. Work two days weekly from an office.

As an Underwriter I, you will evaluate insurance risks and continue developing underwriting knowledge and judgment. You will make decisions on recent business, renewals, endorsements, and cancellations. The work includes reviewing claims history, driver records, questionnaires, and reports while communicating recommendations to brokers. Curiosity, problem-solving, and a solution-focused mindset support this growing team.

Key Responsibilities:
Assess and evaluate Personal Lines insurance risks
Make underwriting decisions within authority and guidelines
Review claims history, driver records, and questionnaires




Communicate decisions and recommendations clearly to brokers
Build team-oriented broker and internal business relationships

Requirements:
Previous underwriting experience is an asset
Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
Ability to interpret policy wordings and legal documents
Robust verbal and written communication skills
CIP completed, in progress, or willingness within three years
