Perform electrical measurements and optical testing as an Engineering Technician with VIAVI Solutions. Support production, quality assurance, and research activities.

This Engineering Technician provides support for current products and current product introduction. You will set up oscilloscopes, signal generators, power supplies, and other electronic instruments. The work includes fiber optics, automated test systems, laboratory measurements, and technical documentation.

Key Responsibilities:
Perform electrical measurements on optical devices using laboratory tools
Set up fiber optic cables and connectors for testing
Use computerized systems to test optical components and subassemblies
Calibrate equipment and generate test reports and graphs




Prepare experimental setups, samples, and test hardware

Requirements:
Electrical Technologist diploma or equivalent
Basic knowledge of electrical schematics and soldering
Basic knowledge of fiber optics and test equipment
Experience with hand tools and computer software applications
Robust organization, communication, and documentation skills
