Manage production, funding, and artistic programs for Theatre Encounter’s experimental physical theatre company in Calgary on a part-time schedule.

The Production & Program Manager is a one-year contract role, with possible renewal, supporting Theatre Encounter’s contemporary interpretations of classic texts. Responsibilities span financial management, grants, rehearsal spaces, production coordination, venue liaison, contracts, and educational programming. The position requires independent work and solid communication.

Key Responsibilities:

- Handle financial reporting, bookkeeping, AGLC reporting, and casino management
- Manage grant funding, development, and application processes
- Coordinate rehearsal space management, bookings, and venue negotiations
- Manage production teams, contracts,



and creative-to-production coordination
- Develop workshops, internships, work sessions, and creativity lab programs

Requirements:

- Experience with financial management and grant development
- Experience creating, initiating, and developing programs
- Experience managing productions and coordinating events
- Arts or management undergraduate or graduate degree
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
