Coordinate theatrical production management and technical direction for the Canadian Badlands Passion Play in Drumheller, Alberta. Lead site preparation, schedules, and safety.

The Production Manager / Technical Director contract begins part time April 1 and becomes full time May 1 through July 29, 2012. The position supports an outdoor production featuring approximately 200 professional and volunteer actors in a 2,700-seat amphitheatre. Responsibilities include coordinating stage management and technicians, managing production communication, and maintaining the production calendar. The role also tracks budgets, personnel resources, materials, and labour while supporting rehearsals and performances.

Key Responsibilities:

- Facilitate technicians and stage management during rehearsal preparation
- Coordinate schedules across stage, rehearsal hall, and lodge spaces




- Monitor production calendars, budgets, materials, and labour
- Organize safe construction and repair of set elements
- Support efficient, protected technical operations during performances

Requirements:

- Ability to attend management and production meetings
- Ability to establish communication lines across production teams
- Ability to negotiate and coordinate personnel resources
- Commitment to training crews for show execution
- Ability to maintain safe performance spaces and pathways
