LeverageTek is actively seeking a Senior Accountant, Consolidations for a permanent, full-time position with its Ottawa-based customer.Work LocationThe successful candidate will be required to work 4 days per week in office at the customer headquarters in Ottawa, Ontario.Key TasksTake ownership of assigned consolidation processes and act as primary point of contact for stakeholders outside the departmentPerform complex variance analysis across face statement groupingsPrepare and analyze financial-related quarterly reporting packages including variance analysis and cash flow statementsSet manual foreign currency rates for key accounts to ensure proper elimination within the consolidation toolReview intercompany balances at the consolidated platform level and resolve any identified breaksPrepare journal entries and account reconciliations for timely and accurate monthly financial closePrepare and review PPE additions and disposals; maintain CWIP and fixedasset schedulesProvide quarterly and year-end audit supportContribute to process improvement initiatives focused on automation, streamlining, SOX 404 controls, and reducing human errorAssist with integration of new assets and acquisitions into the consolidated accounting and reporting processSupport the Manager, Accounting with ad-hoc requests and special projectsKey Qualifications4+ years of full-cycle accounting experience with a minimum of 1 year of hands-on consolidation experienceDemonstrated knowledge of US GAAP; IFRS knowledge is an assetPrivate-sector accounting background with strong attention to detail and ability to work independently in a deadline-driven environmentQualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent relevant work experienceCPA designation or scheduled to write the CFE within the next 12 months preferred but not requiredExperience with OneStream and/or D365 is an assetSolid MS Excel skills including VLOOKUP and pivot tablesStrong time management, problem-solving, and organizational skillsFlexibility to work additional hours during quarter-end and peak periodsAbility to work onsite in Ottawa a minimum of 4 days per weekCompensation $80,000 – $95,000 annuallyAbout LeverageTek Staffing Solutions Founded in 2003, LeverageTek provides end-to-end, cross-functional staffing solutions throughout North America.
