Support Northern Health laboratories through specimen collection, ECG testing, and effective clinical laboratory assistance on rotating evening shifts.

This experienced Medical Laboratory Assistant supports the Laboratory department under a manager’s general supervision. The position performs specimen collection, preparation, testing, clerical work, and other laboratory support functions. It also supports ECG and Holter monitoring as required.

Key Responsibilities:
Collect, prepare, and test laboratory specimens
Perform related clerical and laboratory support functions
Conduct inpatient or outpatient ECG testing
Perform Holter monitor testing as required
Clean and maintain routine laboratory equipment

Requirements:
Experience as a Medical Laboratory Assistant
Highly effective and self-directed work approach
Ability to explain ECG and Holter test procedures
Availability for rotating evening shifts
Ability to work under general managerial supervision
