About the role

Join an international investment bank's capital markets technology team to support and expand its Fixed Income algorithmic trading platform. In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain high-performance, real-time trading systems while working closely with traders and quantitative specialists. You will play a key part in delivering scalable solutions across global trading desks.

Key responsibilities

- Design, develop, test, and deploy software enhancements for Fixed Income algorithmic trading desks, with an emphasis on real-time KDB+ processes, schemas, and APIs
- Collaborate directly with traders and quant teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions within the algorithmic flow trading space
- Oversee the deployment of new and updated trading algorithms, ensuring full regulatory compliance and strict adherence to release procedures
- Build monitoring dashboards in Altair Panopticon and perform ad-hoc statistical analyses on algorithmic behavior, client activity, and market data
- Maintain, optimize, and evolve the existing KDB+ platform infrastructure and compliance monitoring tools




- Provide tier-3 technical assistance to production support teams and participate in scheduled software deployments, including occasional off-hours or weekend releases

Requirements

- Extensive hands-on experience developing with Q/KDB+ within a production trading environment
- Strong proficiency with UNIX and Linux operating systems
- Demonstrated experience in low-latency systems design, performance monitoring, and real-time data handling
- Solid understanding of end-to-end software delivery methodologies, release processes, and testing strategies
- Solid analytical mindset, systematic problem-solving skills, and excellent communication abilities
- Professional fluency in English
- Experience with the TorQ framework for KDB+ development (an asset)
- Familiarity with qspec and qunit automated testing frameworks (an asset)
- Hands-on experience developing dashboards with Altair Panopticon (an asset)
- Knowledge of CI/CD and deployment toolchains such as GitLab CI/CD, JFrog Artifactory, and Rundeck (an asset)
- Domain knowledge of Fixed Income (FI) financial markets (an asset)
- Proficiency in French (an asset)

- Contract type: Term to perm (initial 12-month term)
- Work model: Hybrid (up to 2 days per week remote on a voluntary basis after an initial 2-month onboarding period)
