Support Indigenous children and youth as a Mental Health and Wellness Clinician with Vancouver Coastal Health, using assessment and culturally protected care.

This clinician works on VCH’s Child and Youth Indigenous team within a multidisciplinary, patient, client, and family-centred framework. The position addresses mental health and possible substance use concerns through Two-Eyed Seeing, combining western and Indigenous cultural care practices. It also supports continuity of care and meaningful engagement.

Key Responsibilities:
Conduct mental health assessments with Indigenous children and youth
Provide assertive outreach, intervention, referral, and treatment services
Apply Indigenous Cultural Safety policy in clinical support
Participate in case conferences, meetings, and consultation




Coordinate care with families, providers, and multidisciplinary colleagues

Requirements:
Master’s degree in Social Work, Clinical Counseling, or Psychology
Three years’ recent related Indigenous child and youth experience
Eligibility for appropriate skilled registration, as applicable
Valid British Columbia Driver’s License
Indigenous Cultural Safety Training and culturally protected care knowledge
