Mechanical Technologists develop building systems with Revit MEP and AutoCAD for projects across the Greater Ottawa Region. Support design delivery from concept through construction.

This position contributes to institutional, commercial, healthcare, educational, municipal, and mission-critical projects. You will prepare construction documentation, coordinate multidisciplinary systems, and assist engineers with technical development. The work includes HVAC, plumbing, hydronic, fire protection, and mechanical room layouts.

Key Responsibilities:

- Prepare mechanical drawings and models using Revit and AutoCAD
- Develop HVAC, plumbing, hydronic, and fire protection layouts
- Coordinate systems with architectural, structural, electrical, and civil disciplines




- Participate in BIM coordination and clash detection activities
- Support contract administration through shop drawing reviews and site visits

Requirements:

- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering Technology or equivalent
- Minimum seven years in building mechanical engineering consulting
- Solid proficiency with Revit MEP and AutoCAD
- Experience preparing construction documents for building mechanical systems
- Understanding of Canadian building codes and industry standards
