Teach acting and improvisation in Calgary as a full-time Summer Drama Day Camp Instructor at Pumphouse Theatre. Guide young participants through theatrical learning.

Pumphouse Theatre seeks four instructors for its annual Summer Drama Day Camp, including one Lead Instructor. You will explore creative movement, voice, sound, storytelling, and playwriting with participants aged five to fifteen. Instructors support program development, create and execute curriculum, and work closely with Camp Counselors under the Programming Director’s guidance.

Key Responsibilities:

- Supervise and instruct young people aged five to fifteen
- Facilitate acting, improvisation, movement, voice, and storytelling
- Guide participants in developing a final camp production




- Assist with program development and curriculum execution
- Work closely with Camp Counselors in a leadership relationship

Requirements:

- Previous experience supervising and instructing young people
- Understanding of the creative theatre process
- Drama, Theatre, or Education class experience or education
- Solid communication and interpersonal skills
- Current post-secondary enrollment continuing through Fall 2019
