Sureway Construction is one of Alberta's largest heavy construction contractors, with over 50 years' experience, involved in; civil earthworks and grading, utilities and offsite, mine operation and aggregate extraction.

Job Type: Full Time, Seasonal

Schedule: 10+ hours per day, 6 & 1 Mon-Sat, OT after 8hr/day or 44hr/week

Location: Edmonton and Surrounding Area's - no direct access to public transportation

Essential: Hard-working, reliable, adaptable with schedule, ability to work in physically demanding conditions

We are currently recruiting for a Scale Person for our Yellowhead Aggregates division in Edmonton, AB

Requirements:
Personal Reliable Vehicle
CSA approved steel toed boots with 6” ankle support

Pre-employment:
Drug and alcohol testing (swab-based test)
Successful completion of Company Orientation and site-specific orientation

Scale Person Responsibilities:
Scale loads.




Communicate effectively and professionally with clients, drivers, and coworkers.
Follow work instructions and procedures.
Promote, execute and adhere to the company's safety program, and encourage all employees, subcontractors and consultants to adopt safety as a culture.

Scale Person Qualifications:
Experience as a Scale Person is an asset
Robust organizational skills with an ability to multi-task and work independently.
Willingness to be trained on collecting sand samples is an asset.
