Design spacecraft electronics at Parallax Space using PCB development, electrical testing, and avionics integration skills. This mid-level role supports high-reliability space hardware. The Electrical Engineer develops circuit boards and electrical assemblies for spacecraft, payloads, avionics, test hardware, and mission-enabling systems. Responsibilities span schematic capture, component selection, layout coordination, board bring-up, troubleshooting, documentation, and cross-functional integration. The work supports prototype, production, and flight-ready configurations.Key Responsibilities:
Design PCBs for spacecraft, payload, avionics, power, communications, sensor, and test applicationsDevelop schematics, select components, and define electrical interfacesCoordinate layout constraints, grounding, impedance control, and manufacturabilityPerform board bring-up,
functional testing, debugging, and failure analysisMaintain schematics, BOMs, interface documents, assembly notes, and revisionsRequirements:
Bachelor’s degree in electrical, computer, aerospace, or related engineeringThree to seven years of direct PCB engineering experienceHands-on schematic capture and PCB development tool experienceMixed-signal, digital, power, sensor, communications, or embedded electronics experienceEligibility to access ITAR/EAR-controlled informationBring PCB design, laboratory testing, troubleshooting, and documentation discipline to Parallax Space spacecraft electronics development.
