Support resident comfort in Calgary as a Health Care Aide at AgeCare Shawnee, using secure transfers and thorough personal care. This regular part time position is 0.70 FTE.

Working under a Licensed Practical Nurse’s supervision, you will collaborate with the care team to deliver basic resident care. Duties include bathing, feeding assistance, routine treatments, mobility support, and accompanying residents to activities. You will follow care plans, NCP procedures, water temperature controls, transfer requirements, and protective equipment controls.

Key Responsibilities:

- Bath, shower, and wash residents according to NCP procedures
- Assist transfers using ceiling lifts, mechanical lifts, and transfer belts




- Feed residents according to care plan diets
- Provide routine treatments under Staff Nurse direction
- Escort residents to meals, therapy, recreation, and social functions

Requirements:

- Recognized PCA or HCA 2002-or-greater certificate or equivalent
- Active CLHA registration
- Fluency in spoken and written English
- One year of continuing care experience preferred
- Post-secondary education is an asset
