Maintain healthy, secure facilities as a Cleaner with The Salvation Army, using janitorial skills, cleaning equipment, and careful attention to detail.

This position performs custodial duties across defined work areas and facilities. You will clean floors, offices, furnishings, washrooms, kitchens, windows, and external property. The work also includes minor repairs, laundry, groundskeeping, safety monitoring, and reporting hazards or major repair needs to supervisors.

Key Responsibilities:

- Vacuum carpets, sweep tiled areas, and wash floors
- Clean offices, furnishings, glass, washrooms, and kitchens
- Empty garbage and return recycling and compost bins
- Maintain sidewalks, entrances, lawns, and storage areas
- Perform laundry, minor repairs, and safety checks

Requirements:

- Completion of secondary school
- Up to one year of related custodial experience
- Knowledge of health and safety standards
- Ability to lift or move up to 49 pounds
- Willingness to follow OH&S; and Salvation Army policies
