Role Description The Mortgage Agent is a full time, on-site role based in the Greater Toronto Area, Canada. This role involves advising clients on suitable mortgage products, assessing financial profiles, and structuring mortgage solutions that align with client goals. Day-to-day responsibilities include meeting with clients, collecting and analyzing documentation, preparing mortgage applications, and submitting files to lenders. The Mortgage Agent will maintain strong relationships with lending institutions, monitor application progress, and communicate status updates and conditions to clients in a timely manner. The role also includes participating in local networking activities,



supporting mortgage marketing initiatives, and staying current with regulatory requirements, lender guidelines, and market trends.
Qualifications
Solid understanding of the mortgage industry and general mortgages, with the ability to explain options and processes clearly to clients.
Experience in mortgage lending, including assessing client eligibility, structuring deals, and working with multiple lenders.
Knowledge of mortgage servicing practices, including post-closing client support and ongoing account management.
Exposure to mortgage marketing, with skills in promoting services, generating leads, and building referral networks.
Relevant provincial licensing or registration as a Mortgage Agent in Ontario, or eligibility to obtain it.
Strong analytical, numerical, and credit assessment skills, with attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a client-focused approach and the ability to work collaboratively on-site.
Proficiency with mortgage software, CRM tools, and common office applications; prior experience in financial services is an asset.
