Keep GreenFirst Forest Products’ sawmill clean and safe through hands-on housekeeping, waste removal, and careful use of cleaning equipment.
As a Sawmill Cleaner, you will maintain floors, walkways, and work areas while supporting daily mill activities. The full time position includes training on entry-level production positions and relief support when needed. You will follow health, safety, environmental, and housekeeping standards throughout assigned duties.
Key Responsibilities: Clean designated sawmill floors, walkways, and work areas
Sweep, shovel, and remove sawdust and wood debris
Empty garbage containers and dispose of waste properly
Use cleaning equipment and tools safely and effectively
Perform fire watch duties during maintenance hot work
Requirements: Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
Physically capable of standing, bending, lifting, and shovelling
Comfortable with sawdust, noise, and varying temperatures
Strong workplace health and safety awareness
Industrial or commercial cleaning experience considered an asset
Bring dependable housekeeping, safety awareness, and manual cleaning skills to GreenFirst Forest Products’ industrial sawmill operations.
