Support water and sewer operations as a temporary full time Operations Labourer with the City of Saskatoon. Use equipment, inspection, and maintenance skills daily.
Working under supervision, this Operations Labourer assists with sewer cleaning equipment, water operations and inspections, and water and sewer maintenance. The approximately 12 month position includes manual labour, pumps, hydrants, and related infrastructure. Weekend and shift work may be required.
Key Responsibilities: Inspect and clean sewer mains, manholes, catch basins, and outfalls
Operate and troubleshoot water system components for hydrant maintenance
Assist with water main and sewer infrastructure repairs
Operate sewer flushing, vacuum, pump, and miscellaneous equipment




Install road warning signs and barricades under approved standards
Requirements: Grade 12 education or equivalent
Valid Saskatchewan Class 5 Driver's Licence and secure abstract
Complete required water distribution and wastewater collection courses
Pass Level 1 Saskatchewan operator certification examinations within twelve months
Follow safety procedures, including confined space entry requirements
Bring equipment operation, water systems, sewer maintenance, and safety knowledge to essential City of Saskatoon operations.
